for HM
Armed Forces action toy
Our Eco-Items Knitting Pattern gives you the eco-friendly option for making clothing for Barbie, Action Man and HM Armed Forces toys, but with the facility to design some of your own styles.
What do you get?
Our Eco-Items Knitting Pattern has instructions to knit a variety of items for the specific toy. But there are usually various differences within each item. For example, there are usually 4 different lengths for trousers, skirts and frocks. Coats and jackets may have differing lengths for the body, and differing lengths for the sleeves, and may have different necklines for a collar or a hood. Hats may also have a variety of brims from which to chose.
So you can make a large variety of different items that are quick and easy to make... the hardest bit might be choosing what options to use.
How much yarn?
Because initially you won't know how much yarn an item will require, always knit the largest item first. This will ensure that you can make it from one ball of yarn.
Weigh finished items and record the details so that you can plan which items to knit from 1 ball of yarn, or whether to buy 2 balls.
Weigh or calculate how much yarn is left. I usually go to the Post Office to weigh things because their scales goes down to less than half a gramme, eg. 0.001 Kg, and some of these items are very small.
