Jackets

Many different varieties of jacket may be made by combining different sections of the knitting pattern.

Sleeve-length may be:

short, cuffed or long.

Neckline may have:

a collar or a hood.

Pockets may be attached creating:

1 or 2 breast pockets

1 or 2 waist or hip pockets

Up to 4 front pockets.

Trousers

There are 4 different lengths of trousers available:

shorts

knee length

calf length

full length.

Combat trousers may be designed by adding pockets to calf and full length sizes.

Vests

There are 3 different types of vest:

a protective vest, with security padding

a patrol vest, with several pockets

a hooded vest, with a hood attached.

T-Shirts

These may have 3 different lengths of sleeve:

short

cuffed

long.

The T-shirt may include a number on the back for football shirts. And, if made with long sleeves, and perhaps some strips, can be a civilian jumper for Dad. See our Freebie page.

Rucksack

The rucksack is very easy to knit, but is a bit tricky to sew up... just follow the detailed instructions! The children will love the secret pouch.

Belt

The belt comprises a strap, with 6 detachable pockets that are fully functional... that is, they work! Make extra pockets with left-over yarn, and encourage the children to knit one... they are so easy!

Hats

There are 3 different types of hat:

a woolly hat with a brim

a woolly hat without a brim

a sun hat.
